Opera News, reviewing Scott Lindroth as Valentin in Faust, described him as “sonorous” and possessing a “pleasant baritone, good phrasing and strong top that made his aria a highlight”. Mr. Lindroth’s operatic roles also include Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Harlequin in Ariadne auf Naxos, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, Masetto in Don Giovanni, Dancaïro in Carmen, Marco in Gianni Schicchi, Marcello in La bohème, Mandarin in Turandot, Malatesta in Don Pasquale and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte. His musical theater roles include Javert in Les Misérables and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. Mr. Lindroth received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan, and his Masters from Manhattan School of Music. In 2013, he was an Apprentice Artist with Sarasota Opera and a Resident Artist with Dicapo Opera in New York City. He was a finalist in the 2011 Liederkranz Vocal Competition for Lieder, the 2014 American Opera Idol Competition, and the 2014 Career Bridges Voice Competition.
