Samuel Themer is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky Opera Department. While there, he performed a wide variety of roles across the theatrical and operatic world including Dr. Pill in Daron Hagen’s Little Nemo in Slumberland, Hanschen in Spring Awakening, M. Thenardier in Les Miserables, and The Nasty Interesting Man in Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice. Outside of University, he has also performed the tenor solos in Stainer’s Crucifixion, Don Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, and the male roles in the Schmidt Opera Outreach Program’s production of The Adventures of Alice in Operaland! Most recently he was seen as Don Curzio in Bronx Opera’s The Marriage of Figaro and Scaramuccio in Utopia Opera’s Ariadne auf Naxos.
