Whether playing a leading man or a supporting character, international tenor Gilad Paz commands the stage “with great feeling whether being imperious or amorous”, and brings new life to every role with his energetic and nuanced performances.
Mr. Paz’s favorite performance credits include Tonio in La fille du régiment, Tony in West Side Story, The Witch in Hansel & Gretel, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Scaramuccio & Tanzmeister in Ariadne auf Naxos, and Tybalt in Roméo et Juliette. Concert solos include Carmina Burana, Judas Maccabaeus, and Beethoven’s Symphony no. 9, among others.
He also appeared as soloist in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC as well as the Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall and has premiered works by several contemporary composers. Gilad is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music and is the recipient of multiple scholarship awards from the Ronen Foundation of America.
