Mezzo-soprano Eva Parr actively performs with several opera companies in the New York area, and also participates in choral and sacred works. In 2015 Eva has performed with The Bronx Opera as Marcellina (cover) in The Marriage of Figaro, and as Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte with Opera Cooperative in Manhattan. Eva also appeared as Countess Ceprano/Giovanna in Rigoletto with Opera Lirico d’Europa in Manchester, New Hampshire at the Palace Theatre in 2014. Other recent performances include Meg in Falstaff with Utopia Opera, Tisbe in La Cenerentola with DiCapo Opera, Siebel in Faustwith Amore Opera, and Jacqueline in Gonoud’s rarely performed Le Médecin Malgré Lui with Utopia Opera. Favorite past roles include Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Camillo in Olivo e Pasquale, and Phoebe in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Yeomen of the Guard. Eva is a student of tenor Scott Flaherty in Manhattan, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University.
